1.9 “Personal Information” refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify an individual, as defined under applicable data protection laws.

1.10 “CBM (Cubic Meter)” refers to the measurement of the volume of a shipment. It is calculated as Length × Width × Height (in meters).

1.11 “Volumetric Weight” refers to the dimensional weight of cargo calculated using industry standards. It is used to determine shipping charges based on the space a package occupies rather than its actual weight.

1.12 “MAWB (Master Air Waybill)” refers to the main air waybill issued by an airline or air freight carrier, covering the overall shipment and containing consolidated freight details.

1.13 “HAWB (House Air Waybill)” refers to the air waybill issued by a freight forwarder to the individual shipper, covering each specific shipment under a MAWB.

1.14 “Tracking Number” refers to the unique identifier assigned to a shipment, enabling its progress and delivery status to be monitored through MPX Global’s or third-party systems.

1.15 “Consignment Number” refers to the reference code assigned to a specific cargo consignment, used for identification, documentation, and tracking within the logistics process.

2. Shipping Charges, Payment Terms, and Billing Policy

Shipping charges are based on either the actual (scale) weight or the volumetric (dimensional) weight of the package—whichever is greater. Volumetric weight is calculated using the package’s length × width × height (L×W×H) and reflects the space the package occupies in cargo.

MPX Global reserves the right to verify the method of payment for any shipment and may refuse to ship packages if payment cannot be verified.

All shipments may be subject to duties and taxes depending on destination country regulations. Shipments from China, Dubai, UK, USA, and Turkey to Zimbabwe and SADC will not be dispatched unless full shipping fees are paid in advance. MPX Global does not offer cash on delivery (COD) or cash on collection. All services must be prepaid at each stage of the shipping process as required.

Electronically captured data will be used for billing if a billing copy of the air waybill is not available at the time of invoicing.

Shipping charges are billed in USD and must be paid by cash, ecocash, or banks inclusive of bank charges directly to our Harare office. For currency conversions or alternate payment arrangements, please contact our customer service.

Minimum Charge & Rounding Policy
  • Air freight is charged per kilogram (kg). The minimum chargeable weight is 1kg, and weights are rounded up to the next whole kilogram. For example, a package weighing 1.1kg will be charged as 2kg.

  • Sea freight is charged per cubic meter (CBM), with a minimum billable volume of 0.1 CBM. Any volume below this will be billed at the minimum charge.

MPX Global also adds rounding to air shipment weights to account for packaging and consolidation materials.

Billing Responsibility

MPX Global recommends full payment during the transit period to avoid delays in customs clearance or collection. This ensures faster processing and smooth delivery once shipments arrive.

We accept and encourage full payment in advance for pre-orders, group buying, and consolidated shipments to secure space, expedite handling, and minimize disruptions.

While we accept payment from either the sender or recipient, the sender remains ultimately responsible for ensuring all charges, including duties, taxes, and handling fees, are settled. In cases where a third party or recipient fails to pay, the sender agrees to cover the outstanding balance.

Packages will not be released for collection until payment is confirmed. If a shipment is ready for collection but outstanding amounts remain unpaid, a 20% late penalty fee will be applied to the overdue balance.

For guidance on payment timing or options, please contact MPX Global Customer Service.

3. Billing Adjustments, Packaging, Customs & Liability Terms

Invoice Adjustments and Overcharges

MPX Global reserves the right to audit air waybills and shipments—whether processed electronically or manually—to verify shipment details such as weight and service type. If discrepancies are found, appropriate billing adjustments may be applied without prior notice.

Invoice disputes must comply with our formal notice procedures. Filing a lawsuit does not exempt a customer from the required notice.

If value-added tax (VAT), consumption tax, or similar charges apply, we reserve the right to add these amounts to the shipping fees. MPX Global pays all required excise duties on air transport services.

The sender and any party responsible for payment are liable for all reasonable recovery costs in the event of non-payment. This includes legal fees, agency collection costs, interest, and court-related charges.

Dimensional Weight (Volumetric Weight)

Shipping charges may be calculated based on IATA’s volumetric weight standard:
Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 6000

If the dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight, charges will be based on the higher value.

Note: Incorrect weight or dimensions submitted by the customer may result in delays and billing adjustments. All international packages are subject to inspection.

Packaging and Marking

Customers must ensure all shipments are properly packaged to withstand express handling conditions. Fragile or sensitive goods must be protected with appropriate materials such as bubble wrap, woven bags, or pallets.

📦 IMPORTANT: Customers must instruct their suppliers to label all shipments with the correct shipping mark:
MPX GLOBAL H01473

Each package must be:

  • Marked clearly and durably.

  • Packed using new, sturdy corrugated boxes with at least 3 inches of cushioning on all sides.

  • Free from kraft paper wrapping.

  • Securely labeled and sealed.

Packages with exposed sharp objects (e.g., auto parts) must be properly wrapped. Labels must be attached securely with pressure-sensitive tape. Casters, wheels, and rollers must be removed or secured to prevent damage.

MPX Global does not include repacking or package consolidation in standard freight fees. These are charged separately if requested.

Shipments damaged, leaking, or refused due to poor packaging may be disposed of without compensation. If a damaged shipment cannot be returned, the sender or recipient is liable for all disposal or clean-up costs.

Carriage Under the Warsaw Convention

International air shipments are subject to the Warsaw Convention and/or the Montreal Protocol, which may limit carrier liability. MPX Global reserves the right to:

  • Use alternate carriers or routes.

  • Decline requests for specific airlines or transit stops.

We are not responsible for delays or damages due to route changes or carrier substitutions.

Claims and Liability

Unless additional insurance is purchased, MPX Global’s maximum liability is nil. Claims for damage or loss must be handled directly with the insurance provider.

We do not inspect packages unless instructed to by the sender or recipient. Customs authorities may inspect or open packages at any time without notice.

Customs Clearance
  1. All international shipments must clear customs in the destination country.

  2. Customers must submit accurate Packing Lists and Commercial Invoices upon request.

  3. Customs may require hiring a local broker; fees for this are the recipient’s responsibility.

  4. MPX Global or its appointed broker may charge ancillary fees for customs delays, declarations, or additional processing.

  5. Instructions to forward goods authorize MPX Global to handle customs clearance and advance duties.

  6. If customs delays occur due to incomplete documentation, the shipment may be deemed undeliverable.

  7. Goods subject to regulation by multiple agencies (e.g., ZIMRA, Medicines Control Authority) may face extended clearance times.

  8. The customer is responsible for ensuring items are permitted for entry. Entry refusal is at the sender’s risk.

  9. MPX Global is not responsible for abandoned goods or penalties from incorrect declarations.

Duties and Taxes
  • Duties and taxes are generally billed to the recipient.

  • If unpaid, the sender is ultimately responsible, regardless of prior payment instructions.

  • If duties are prepaid, MPX Global may adjust the estimated amount post-clearance.

  • Unpaid shipments may be stored at a bonded warehouse or returned at the customer’s expense.

  • All consolidated shipments must prepay both freight and duties. No exceptions are allowed.

Dangerous Goods

MPX Global does not accept dangerous goods. Packages found to contain such items will be returned at the sender’s expense.

Limits of Liability
  • We do not offer automatic insurance coverage.

  • MPX Global is not liable for damages during shipping unless due to direct negligence and insurance has been purchased.

  • We do not own the airlines or shipping lines used; any delays by these carriers are outside our control.

Export Control Laws

Customers are responsible for complying with all local and international export laws. We do not accept shipments from individuals or entities on denied-party lists.

Inspection of Shipments

Government agencies may inspect any shipment in transit or at any location. MPX Global is not liable for seizures resulting from false or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Exclusions and Force Majeure

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or special damages

  • Delays due to Acts of God, natural disasters, political unrest, or carrier failure

  • Seizures due to false declarations

  • Delays caused by airlines, shipping lines, or regulatory authorities

  • Pharmaceuticals are only accepted when fully compliant with applicable laws and subject to approval.
